Finally I have a studio addition being built for my kilns, shelves and storage! After years of firing my kilns at night, because… well face it, do any kiln vent systems really work? My best kiln vent system is not to be in the studio when the kiln is firing. So now I will be able to close the door to a kiln room and work and fire during the day!!!

The new view from the studio entrance. By the end of the second day the roof was closed in. It is amazing how quickly three professional builders can work!
That’s fantastic. My kiln is in my studio as well. It’s vented — but I also leave the studio to fire. And during this time of year – in GA – even firing at night leaves the studio so hot – it’s hard to work.

lucky you… it’s always fun to see how fast the framing goes, i did it last summer. it will slow down a bit though
