I recently had a question from potter Joel Cherrico asking me about the plate setters I use for dinnerware sets, (that I don’t actually like to make… sorry folks they are just too time consuming).

I think I got these setters from my favorite ceramic supplier, Sheffield Pottery.  The plates are currently used daily in our kitchen.

Summertime means bigger food bills with three teenage boys around, and the many teenage friends visiting.  Seems like all we do is buy lemonade, chips and fruit.  Oh and I can’t forget the cold cuts and bread!  The other day I said to the boys, lets make Dagwood sandwiches… this is what they came up with! 

This one, by my stepson Andrew was a real winner, it included potato chips, onions, cheez its and marshmallows, topped off with a raspberry!!!
